Shipping, Returns & Refund Policy

Shipping

Rug Warehouse offers free shipping Australia-wide on all orders .
Orders are processed and delivered within 2–5 business days.

Returns

We offer free returns within 90 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition, with original packaging.

  • Custom-made and final sale items are not eligible for return unless damaged or defective.

Refunds

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after the return is received.

  • Original shipping costs are refundable.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a free return, replacement, or full refund.

How to Start a Return

Contact us through our website to receive return instructions and a prepaid return label.

Shipping

Our refund and returns policy lasts 90 days. If 90 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

    We’ll handle all once we receive the product but the return logistics should be taken care by you — purchase was not including the return shipping cost. No stress, no hidden fees.



    🔍 Inspection Upon Return


    Once we receive your item, our team will inspect it to ensure it meets the return conditions: unused, uncleaned, and in its original state.



    💳  Refund


    If your item passes inspection, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method. no restocking fee applies and you will get 100% refund. Please allow up to 10 days for refund from the date we receive your return for processing.


Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We replace items if they are defective or damaged or even change of mind. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at  and send your item to our physical address

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Advice on Shipping returns 

To return your product, you should mail your product to our physical address.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

❗ Received a Damaged or Faulty Item?

We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If your rug or furniture arrives damaged or faulty, contact us right away — we’ll make it right.


Important Notes

  • Our Returns Centre allows one item per request. Need to return two? Submit two separate return requests.

  • Trade customers may have different return conditions — please check with your account manager.

  • We cannot accept returns for items that have been used, cleaned, or assembled.

  • Faulty items must be returned in original condition and packaging.

  • Underlays, bath mats, and clearance items marked ‘NO RETURNS’ are final sale and not eligible for return.

  • If you purchase multiple items, our Fair Use Policy applies:


For Playmat Purchases

  • Change of Mind: Return within 30 days if the playmat is unopened and in original packaging (including sealed vacuum wrap and attached tags). We cover return shipping.

  • Faulty Claim: Inspect your playmat on arrival and report any issues within 48 hours.

  • Colour Disclaimer: Colours may vary slightly due to screen settings — returns for colour mismatch are not accepted.
